And here I stand in the spotlight

Welcoming you to the stage of life

All I say, you already know

All I do is reiteration

Life is hostile, yet amiable

Don’t expect it to smile at you

But of course, it will smile at you

Either ways, just know it won’t last forever

Life is never assured

So are all the things that come with it

Expect too much and get disappointed

However, never settle for mediocre

Life is simple, why complicate it?

The quest for a nest isn’t a man’s struggle

If you are born to kill elephants

You don’t struggle killing rats

Life is like a card game

We cannot control what comes our way

But one thing is optimum

To make the best out of what we get

What is life without love?

Give your heart out freely

No worries when it gets broken

Someone else will fix it

Why cry when you can laugh?

Why sob when you can smile?

Why hate when you can love?

Why burden the soul with vices?

Happiness is a mindset

They can make you happy

You can make you happy

But only when you allow it

While you watch others suffer in pain

Suffer not your hearts to be joyous

For you know not what tomorrow holds

Besides, it could have been you

Hark! Not everything I say is true

For I’m not on this stage alone

And life is not simple calculus

It sure doesn’t have a formula

Life is not ours for keeps

Someday we will give it up
